Scriptworks Productions is a creative studio and micro-production company based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. 

We develop and produce stories that centre and explore women’s and other under-represented histories. Stories that celebrate bold, character-driven drama.

Our projects span short films, feature films, books and audiobooks, plays, documentaries and scripted series, all united by a shared belief that powerful storytelling can shift perspectives, create connection, and spark change in the world.

So far, we have received twenty-two awards from festivals in London, Berlin, Toronto, Milan, New York and from organisations as illustrious and Women in Film and Television (WFTV UK), the British Film Institute (BFI) and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

2025 saw our first foray into publishing, and 2026 sees new ventures into more publishing, more shorts, audio projects and theatre plays. Some related to the universes that our stories are created in, and others in collaboration with new authors and playwrights, making our stories truly pan-media.
